In Week Nine, we read one example of a web essay. This week, we will read a second that was published by a news source a little closer to home: the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
For this discussion board, do the same with "The Other Side of Nowhere" that you did with "Snowfall." Address the ways that the individual elements of text, video, image, and movement/graphic design combine to enhance the concepts of time and space. Where were the combination of elements used particularly effective for you as a reader/viewer? Was this essay more or less effective than Snowfall?
And finally, what elements can you take away from "The Other Side of Nowhere" to apply to your own digital essay? How might you use the same (or similar) elements that this web text uses for effect in your Essay Two?
Provide specific examples in this discussion (you can't cite your source in the same way that you would with a traditional essay, but try to describe the sections you are discussing with as much accuracy as possible).
